” This is the BEST Montessori school! My experience seeing children being empowered to be independent and themselves has been exceptional at Planted Seed Montessori School. What a calm, welcoming and loving environment! I just recently participated in a unique event prepared by the students “ Special to me day”. It was my honour to share that day with all students, teachers, parents and grandparents. Every one of the child shined with pride showing us their fabulous work, singing songs and serving us with their handmade pizza and baked treats. This school has the most kindest, dedicated and caring teachers knowing who their students are, what they bring and what they need in their diverse individual learning. I highly recommend this remarkable educational treasure of learning which unlocks the golden door of freedom for every child. “

” Our son is finally thriving! I don’t really have the words to express how incredible this school is. Our son struggled so much in both a public school and another independent school and this is the first place where he is actually excited, happy and learning. The small class sizes, the Montessori learning style combined with the outdoor education is such a unique and incredible way of teaching. Highly recommend. “

” My son loves his school. The teachers are outstanding and foster a calm and comfortable atmosphere for the kids to learn. The classroom is bright and spacious and the gym and kitchen are bonus spaces where the kids get exposed to a variety of different experiences. The outdoor learning has been great and offers him an opportunity to move his body and let out some energy during the school day. I’m am amazed at how much he has learned in the first few month of the school year. His reading and math skills have taken off! So grateful to be a part of this school. “

” Our child has blossomed in just a few short months since starting at Planted Seed Montessori in September. The transformation we have seen in our child’s confidence and wellbeing is remarkable. The low student to teacher ratio allows for the educators at this school to truly tend to each child’s unique abilities and learning styles and the Montessori approach has allowed our child to work at her own ability level, ensuring she isn’t missing out on any fundamental skills. This style of instruction in conjunction with a multi-sensory approach to learning has increased our child’s motivation and independence. The teachers at this school are at the heart and soul of Planted Seed. Their genuine passion and warmth can be felt by the students and has created a safe space for them to take academic risks and explore the world around them with confidence and excitement. What drew us in to this school in the first place was the amount of time spent outdoors, engaging in nature and the community. Our child has benefited greatly from this opportunity to access enriching outdoor and experiential learning such as walks down to the river to explore nature, learning to read maps, creating art using natural materials, learning how to lawn bowl, learning how to measure and follow recipes in the school’s kitchen, frequent field trips to places like the apple orchard, the Art Gallery of Guelph, and taking the GO train into Toronto to The Young People’s Theatre (just to name a few). I could go on… and it’s only November! There is always something exciting to look forward to at Planted Seed. There is no good day to be absent at this school. Every single day is interesting and engaging. What our family has grown to love and appreciate about this school is the community it creates. Because of it’s small size, we have the opportunity to really get to know one another and support this beautiful school that we are so privileged to attend. “

The team here truly goes above and beyond to provide an exceptional educational environment for our kids. Just ask about the amazing (and inexpensive) field trips!
