Annex Montessori

” I’m not sure why this preschool doesn’t have more reviews, they are fantastic! After an exhaustive search for quality care for our 2.5 year old, I decided to call Annex Montessori on a whim since I had walked by it many times in the neighbourhood. I always assumed that our family wouldn’t be able to afford a Montessori preschool as I associated them with high costs and privileged families. I am SO glad I reached out. I was surprised to learn that the tuition cost is comparable (or better!) to many other daycare options downtown. Our daughter has been there for a year now and she is thriving. She has made many friends and has learned so much. Her teachers (Mariam and Jugnu) are incredibly kind and patient. Our daughter can be pretty sensitive at times and they always provide care that is individualized and meets her evolving needs. Our daughter has formed a very special bond with Jugnu and she talks about her daily. John and Amanda run the show there and I’ve never met two people that are better suited to care for so many families and their specific needs. John has a heart of gold and it’s obvious that he really cares about upholding high standards of care and a commitment to the Montessori philosophy. Amanda has a great sense of humour and is incredibly organized and responsive via email. They have been an absolute dream to communicate with throughout the pandemic, taking extra precautions to keep everyone safe. The teachers use a handy app to communicate with families and we get some adorable photos sent at the end of the week so we can see some of the things our daughter is working on. She also brings home an art folder every Friday and thoughtful crafts and activities for special holidays. They really take so much care in planning things for the kids. We feel so grateful that our daughter gets to go to this wonderful school. If you are looking for a great preschool, look no further. Give these guys a call. “
