” As a first time parent searching for the ideal educational environment for my infant, this was beyond overwhelming for me. I found myself drawn to Brooklin Mills Montessori schools due to their reputation for fostering independence, creativity, and a love for learning. My recent experience at Brooklin Mills affirmed that reputation and exceeded my expectations in every aspect. One of the most remarkable aspects of Brooklin Mills was the level of independence encouraged among the students and their level of love, care and compassion towards the children. With daily updates and pictures, my anxious mind was set to ease as I knew my son was in the best hands and this was evident as he continued to thrive and build strong relationships with his peers and teachers around him. From the moment I stepped into the building, I felt welcomed and knew this would be the best place for my son. The layout of the classrooms, with their carefully arranged materials and inviting learning corners, immediately sparked curiosity in both me and my infant. The emphasis on hands-on learning and exploration was evident in every corner, with shelves stocked with intriguing materials designed to engage young minds. Their deep understanding of child development and the Montessori philosophy was evident in every interaction, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment conducive to growth and exploration. Beyond academics, I was impressed by the emphasis placed on social and emotional development. The multi-age classrooms allowed for meaningful interactions among children of different ages, promoting empathy, cooperation, and leadership skills. Through activities such as group discussions, collaborative projects, and daily routines, my child developed invaluable social skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom. Overall, our experience at Brooklin Mills Montessori was nothing short of exceptional and we will certainly miss the staff there. The Montessori approach, with its emphasis on independence, hands-on learning, and holistic development, has truly transformed my child’s educational journey which he will continue to carry with him as he continues his journey. I am deeply grateful to the dedicated teachers and staff who have created such a nurturing and inspiring environment for my son, and I wholeheartedly recommend Brooklin Mills Montessori to any parent seeking an enriching and empowering educational experience for their child. “

” I am disappointed with some aspects of Brooklin Mill, some of which are unacceptable. My daughter has albinism and her group would be playing outside during the UV rays peak time, so I showed the vice-director a letter from my daughter’s dermatologist, mentioning that she had to be indoors between 10am and 2pm. The vice-director said that their schedule would change soon (in about 2 weeks) and it would be “only for a few days” that they would be outside during that period. I said that I was actually asking for accommodation, since she has a condition, but the vice-director kept saying it was for a few days. I regret not having continued asking for my daughter’s rights. It is valid to mention that it happened in August, during summer. Besides that, I realized that one of the teachers had no patience with the kids. I witnessed her changing her tone of voice, pulling some kids by their arm back to a line up and proving too much critisism if they were not lined up perfectly. I brought it to the vice-director who clearly did not care and said very basic things, such as, I will tell the director and we will investigate it. Not happy with the lack of empathy, directed not only for me, but mainly for those kids, I sent an e-mail to the director saying that I would like her assistance. She replied to my e-mail, saying that the vice-director explained to her what happened, added some basic words about how sorry they were and did not even ask if I wanted an online meeting, a call or anything else. Summarizing, I waited more than one year to get this spot, I really thought I was offering the best to my daughter, but the disappointment was so big that I felt relieved when I withdrew her from the Brooklin Mill. I do not recommend it, and if your child has special needs, I would not recommend it at all. “

” My daughter has been going to this school since September 2021. She is in Mira’s classroom, Senior Casa. She was able to make friends very quickly, she connected with her teachers and has been learning ALOT! Before attending this school she did not know a word of french and now, it hasn’t even been a year, she is able to translate so many words in french and is able to sing full french songs without any help! I’m very proud, the teachers here are fantastic! “

” Our daughter has been at Brooklin Mill for almost a year and transitioned from Foundations to Pre Casa over that time. We have always been thrilled with the care and education she has received. The teachers and staff are nurturing and provide exemplar curriculum. Our daughter loves to go and see all of her teachers and friends and we are so thankful to have this school as part of our community. “

” There are at least 4 or 5 Montessori schools closer to our home than Brooklin Mill MS however we have made a point to keep our son in this school since he was an infant (1 years old) and he is now 5. They have an amazing staff that really connect with kids, when we are away on vacations or breaks and it’s time to go back he is always asking to see Ms Perry, Ms Summer, Mme Grieve, Ms Pushman, Ms Lilly, the list goes on – not to mention how excited he is to see the kids he has literally grown up with. Brooklin Mill administration has always been quick to answer any questions, willing to work with parents over any concerns, and over the early months of the Covid crisis scrambled to put together programming for the kids that was vastly more engaging and helpful than what many of our public school friends had. Over the last 4+ years we have experienced almost everything they have to offer in terms of before and after school care, remote learning, infant care, bilingual classes, dance classes, skating classes, and have nothing but positive things to say about them. If you have decided that Montessori education is what you would like for your child then Brooklin Mill MS is an excellent choice. The old saying of it takes a village has never stopped being true and we are happy that our village included Brooklin Mills. “
