” Can’t say enough good things about our experience so far with BHMS. Our daughter started in the infant program and is now in the toddler program. She is very happy and we are always impressed to see what she has learned in her class. She has had excellent teachers, and the staff generally has been great to deal with. My wife and I appreciate all the school and after school events the school holds for the kids and families. It’s a great community. “

” We are very appreciative of the experience we have received so far at BHMS. The Staff has been very helpful, kind and responsive. I love how they included us as parents in the process. Our Child had a accident on the bike ride with his class. His teachers informed us what happened, how badly he was injured and solutions of what to do to help him. The staff has shown us through their actions and advice that they want our children to succeed and they want us as parents to succeed too. I am Thankful and I am really happy with the love and care that we as a family has received. I look not only look forward to seeing the children when I come to the school but I look forward to seeing the staff too. Thanks BHMS family! “

” I am very sorry to see that there appears to be a campaign to tarnish the schools reputation based off of one incident, especially since the parent’s account of the event appears to be the mildest relative to those posting having second hand or further removed experiences. To be clear my daughter was here during the same time frame and is very close in age. Our experience with Bishop Hamilton has been exemplary. We joined when our daughter was 7 months old and due to a gross motor delay not yet sitting up. We are now into our third year with the school and have chosen to keep her there through the end of the Casa program based off of the amazing experience we have had. The staff are incredibly caring and well trained (or supervised in the case of assistants who are still pursuing training). Anytime we have had concerns about a practice or decision we have been able to quickly schedule a meeting with all the relevant staff and talk through the situation. I will say that the staff will absolutely not compromise on doing what is best for your child’s education and development. If you are looking to have your parenting rubber stamped and hand over your children to be trained, then this is not the place for you. They expect a partnership with parents and are truly willing to go the extra mile to ensure everyone is onboard for your child. Going back to work has been made so much easier seeing the real love between my child and her classroom staff. They take the time to develop personal relationships and she is always thrilled to go see Skyler in the mornings, no matter how grumpy she may be for us parents! The level of skill development and independence she has learned is also amazing to see. At 3 she is able to dress and undress herself, use the washroom alone, and is starting to show basic reading skills. We would love it if they had coverage options for their two weeks of summer closure and extended Christmas break closure. But that is our only real complaint – that we can’t have our child there even more often. “

” After experiencing Montessori education in two other countries we are so happy to have found a genuine Montessori school in Ottawa for our children. BHMS has exceeded our expectations in academics but most importantly in the dedicated work and professional expertise of their staff. It is a true Montessori environment that provides children the opportunity to grow in autonomy, sense of wonder and love for learning. “

” We have two children who are currently attending BHMS and are in our fourth year with the school. We are very happy with the education we are getting here, this was especially true during very difficult COVID years where I always knew my children were safe and getting a reliable, high quality education. My children each have very different strengths and ways of learning, their teachers cater lessons to them in a way that best facilitates their individual learning styles. My daughter, now in elementary level, has many field trip opportunities at local libraries, museums etc, all included in the program. I love the focus on real life learning and applying skills that provides the children with pride and confidence in them selves. All teachers and school staff know my children so well, regardless if they have had them in class in the past or not. It is a tight community environment. Strongly recommend to others. “
