” Havergal dumps its yard waste into the ravine it claims to protect. I know because I was a gardener there and they ended my temp contract pushing me into starvation, after I asked whether our dumping was compliant with city bylaws (it was not). After students completed an ‘indigenous plants undergrowth rehabilitation’ program, I was ordered by a greasy little chain-smoking portuguese maladjust who somehow took over our department for a week, to dump tons of yard waste illegally, through a hole torn in a chain-link fence, on top of the hopeful little wildflower and shrub plantings in the ravine. Meanwhile the school brags publicly about its ‘stewardship’. Havergal staff also operate an unplated speed-limited RTV on public roads including major arteries and residential side-streets, because their head gardener, who definitely lied about her “23 year” work experience, doesn’t even have a drivers license. A terrible, elitist institution where the richest children in the country go to be lied to about the environment while the school is, in fact, the exact opposite of what it pretends to be. Rich people just think they can make the rules up as they go. Send your kid here if you want their life lesson to be that organizations will deceive them and instil them with false morality, while actively destroying the environment and hurting the moral fabric of our city to save a buck. “

” Absolutely horrendous experience at this so-called ‘school.’ The teachers seemed disinterested and unqualified, more focused on their personal lives than actually educating students. The facilities were outdated and dirty, with broken equipment and uncomfortable seating. The curriculum was outdated and irrelevant to real-world applications. Save yourself the headache and find a better educational institution. “

” I recently completed the lifeguard course at Havergal College with Lifeguarding Academy, and I must say, the overall experience was nothing short of awesome! The course covered everything with the highest standards, and the emphasis on discipline was commendable. Shelby, our tutor, played a pivotal role in making the course enjoyable and effective. Her support and helpful guidance throughout the program were invaluable. Shelby’s unique and fun teaching methods kept me motivated and engaged throughout the course. I appreciate her dedication to helping us succeed. The Havergal campus itself is impressive—neat, clean, and well-maintained. The warm water in the pool contributed to a comfortable and conducive learning environment, allowing me to perform well in the course. A special thanks to Shelby for helping me fulfill my dream of becoming a national lifeguard. However, if I were to highlight one area for improvement, it would be the scheduling. The tight 2-hour gap between pool sessions and online classes made it challenging to manage both. I would suggest considering an extension of the gap to enhance the overall experience for participants. In conclusion, I highly recommend the lifeguard course at Havergal College with Lifeguarding Academy. It’s a fantastic program with dedicated instructors and a supportive learning environment. “
