There are so many good things to say about this school, I hardly know where to begin. Both the teachers and administration are caring and devoted, and the school is a safe and nurturing environment where the students thrive and are encouraged to develop their full potential. Prior to my son starting Howlett Academy, he loathed school, and would often refuse to attend school. Now, he is happy every day to go to a school where he is constantly being challenged and learning at his own pace. Howlett takes a holistic perspective towards children and seeks to support them all in their own individual and unique ways. Howlett also instills academic fundamentals in all subjects, as well as critical thinking and an awareness of social justice. With a very small teacher:student ratio, and emphasis on fundamentals first, I cannot say enough good things about this small treasure of a school in our city.
