Islamic Academy of Markham
” Attending the charity dinner hosted by the Islamic Academy of Markham was a truly enriching experience. The evening was not just about fundraising; it was an opportunity for reflection and growth as parents. The guest speakers delivered profoundly impactful talks, focusing on the importance of instilling Islamic values in our children amidst the challenges of today’s world. One statement that resonated deeply was, “It takes a village to raise children, but when the village itself isn’t nurtured with religion, how can it be fruitful for future generations?” This powerful message shed light on the critical role Islamic schools play in shaping not just our children but the communities they grow up in. As parents, it put so much into perspective for us. The world we live in today is full of distractions and influences that can easily lead our children astray. Having a safe space where they can grow academically while staying rooted in Islamic teachings feels more essential than ever. It also highlighted an important responsibility for the Muslim community as a whole: to support these institutions so they can grow and thrive. As a community, we have an obligation to ensure these schools become stronger and more expansive, especially in these challenging times when they are so desperately needed. The evening was a beautiful reminder of the collective responsibility we share in ensuring our children grow into individuals who are grounded in faith, equipped to navigate life’s challenges, and ready to contribute positively to society. Kudos to the Islamic Academy of Markham for organizing such a thoughtful event and for continuing to provide a nurturing environment for the next generation of leaders. May Allah SWT bless the Islamic Academy of Markham with tremendous growth and success, and may it flourish manyfold, Ameen. “
” I’ll start off by saying that my son loves this school and his teachers. Im very happy with the school and the staff. Where we’ve had to address any concerns they’ve always been open to finding ways to resolve things with us, the parents. It really feels like a community and i hope it can grow into more inshaAllah “
” One of the standout features of Islamic Academy of Markham is they’re dedication to a well-rounded education. Not only are the academic subjects taught with utmost expertise, but the school also places a strong emphasis on Islamic studies and values. It’s heartwarming to see my child not only excelling academically but also growing spiritually and ethically. Best regards, Mr and Mrs Sanaullah “
