” My son joined NGS in grade 9, and he will be graduating this year. My first-hand experience with NGS has been exceptional. What makes NGS different is that it invests in students’ successes at all levels- academic, social, mental and psychological. Good human, good conduct and good conscience are the prerequisites. They hold students and teachers at the highest ground. They meet where your child is and not where the world wants them to be. Individual strengths are nurtured to build them for a future that awaits them. Nothing counts as a weakness… Academics, music, sports, and debates, arts run in parallel to cultivate skills that go beyond the classroom. From the Head of School to principals to teachers to support staff to guidance counsellors – all are invested in students’ success. The culture of the school allows open communication between students and teachers, where hard conversations are encouraged. Most importantly, they have zero tolerance for bad behaviour and bullying. The school provides a safe space for all. I will recommend NGS to all those parents who are looking to give their kids a brighter future and a nurtured environment. My two cents: Work like a team with the school. It’s like a home away from home!! “

” When we brought our 3 kids to Newton’s Grove post pandemic, two of them were going through a really hard time. We will always feel a huge sense of warmth and gratitude thinking back on how much NGS has helped our family during that difficult year; the teachers and Division Heads that went above and beyond. This is now our 3rd year here, and I can confidently say that coming to Newton’s Grove has been the best decision for our family. Our kids were in grades 3, 7, and 10 when they started, and over the years I have witnessed them all develop and grow in ways that I had never even imagined. The music program, for example. Not only have they all learned to play band instruments since they arrived, but they enjoy it so much that they all participate in extracurricular rep bands, jazz band, and summer music camps. My teenagers even wake up on their own for weekly 7:30am rehearsals. Mr. Alonso, the Music Director, is a truly wonderful human being with the incredible ability to inspire kids, and through the music program has exposed our kids to incredible opportunities they would not have had anywhere else. Last year our daughter was accepted into the Middle School Honor’s Performance Series in California, where she had the incredible experience of rehearsing and playing under a master conductor at the Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena. And she wasn’t the only one, a total of 10 students represented NGS in that band, a testament to the caliber of musicians NGS produces. This year, our eldest son was accepted into the Ontario Provincial Honour Band along with a fellow NGS student, where 80 high school kids across Ontario rehearsed together and performed at the annual Ontario Music Educators Association conference. It was all such an incredible experience, and on top of that it also looked incredible on his university applications. The culture of the school is positive and inclusive, with an emphasis on building community, not only among the kids, but among the parents as well. I appreciate how often they open the doors and invite parents in to get a peek at the various activities going on. There are so many ways for kids to get involved that foster that sense of belonging. Sports teams, clubs, Student Council, Wings, Student Ambassadors, the plays (which are so well done and entertaining every year!), Deca, of course the bands, and this year, the first ever Tedx event. My kids thrive on all the extracurricular activities available to them. NGS has become their home away from home. A safe space for them to explore, and try, and fail, and grow, and become better versions of themselves. And NGS does an outstanding job of recognizing kids for all their efforts: sports awards, math awards, speech awards, science fair awards, music awards, etc., there are so many. As my eldest, now in grade 12, prepares to embark for university life next year, I know that he will leave home well prepared and confident in himself. It’s more than just good grades, it’s the good friends, the influential teachers, the supportive leadership team, and all the experiences over the past few years that tell him he’s ready. Newton’s Grove’s formula for developing the whole child works, we see it. We will continue to entrust Newton’s Grove with our children, and look forward to many more years of partnership as we work together to raise amazing human beings. “

” Newton’s Grove has been an extremely positive experience. The environment is inclusive, supportive and a great place to advance a child’s goals. The staff from the Head of School Cheri Grogan to the front desk are superlative. It is a great choice and I recommend it. “

” NGS is a great school and our children absolutely enjoy being part of the community. The focus and committment that the staff and teachers provide for towards a student’s education is exception and really appreciated. I notice the difference in my children’s academic performance. Furthermore, NGS provides an opportunity and encourages students to join school sports teams and of course their exceptional Music program. It’s not all about academics, which is very important part of a student’s journey to experience that balance between academics and extra curricular activities. The Head of the School, Counsellors and Division Heads are all extremely supportive. When advice is needed, they definitely have an open door policy! I am impressed with their knowledge and how much they care about a student’s post – high school journey and application process for Universities. NGS is a close knit community and I would highly recommend any family to enroll their child at the School. “

” Our daughter joined NGS for high school back in 2021. From the very first interaction with the school to the one as recent as yesterday (Sr. Girls becoming Basketball Champions)… It has been an awesome experience. The school infrastructure is very new and good. They have an amazing 2-level Gym. The music and arts program is very impressive. The classrooms and facilities are top-notch… admin is great. But, more importantly, the core teaching staff is exceptional and provides the care and attention that students deserve/need.. . all of that creates a sense of belonging that is good for students in general but even more critical for high school students.. For us, the rapport with school’s leaderahip team and teaching staff makes the school’s feel like an extension of home/family. Let’s keep it real… Private school may not be the right choice/fit for everyone and, yes, it is not cheap 😊. But, investing in your kids education and development at the right time sets them up well for success in life, IMHO. That’s what we are seeing play-out real-time in our daughter’s case. Finally, as our older one gets ready to graduate next year… We are looking forwqrd to the younger one attending the school next year. That says a lot about our view of NGS and the great work they are doing with the students! Keep up the good work NGS! “
