” As a student from Humber College, my placement at Oakwood Academy has been a remarkable first-time experience working with children with special needs. The therapists at Oakwood are exceptionally kind and their supervision is incredibly productive. They consistently create new activities daily to enhance the developmental stages of the children. One of the highlights of my experience has been the community days, where children are taken on trips. This is a fantastic method for teaching life skills and it greatly enriches their learning experience. “

” Where to start? Our family moved to Canada in the summer of 2016. We were looking for a proper school for our daughters. We set up a day for the girls to attend summer camp at Oakwood academy. The girls had a blast. Had a meeting with Oakwood staff and we decided this was the school for our girls. Going on 3 plus years with Oakwood we are glad we choose Oakwood academy. Every member of the staff is so dedicated to the children who attend the school. I would encourage families to stop by and see what Oakwood Academy has to offer. Small class sizes to individual classes. Oakwood Academy has been so wonderful to my daughters!!!! I highly recommend Oakwood Academy!!! “

” We are very happy with Oakwood Academy. We searched (and tried) other schools for our son (with asd) and none of them compare to Oakwood. Their teachers and assistants are caring, patient, and understanding. Our son has reached great levels in his development and academically with the help of their wonderful staff and therapists. They communicate well and often with parents, and any concerns made are looked into. It is our 3rd year and we look forward to the next school years… “
