Stratford Middle Years School
” Wonderful school run by incredible people. My kids were recognized and set up for success individually. SYMS provided a personal education plan that encouraged my kids to push their limits and feel accomplished. One of my favourite memories was how the teachers openly shared their own life experiences with the kids. The good and the bad. SMYS prepared my daughter for a great grade 9 year academically which let her adjust socially to the new environment. I love the schools love for the outdoors. Outdoor math was always great to see. So glad my kids had the privilege of attending SMYS. “
” Going here for Grade 4-7 back when it first opened was one of my worst experiences as a child. Myself and other students were relentlessly, horrifically bullied by one student. Yet when parents such as mine confronted the two heads at the time with the issue, they would lie and gaslight parents and students, completely ignoring the massive problems right under their noses. The owners would only prioritize you if you came from a very rich family, fawning over these families. My love of acting was ruined by the owner who forced everyone to participate in plays and musicals, which I only remember as being completely stressful and awful as they freaked out on kids for not taking an elementary school play seriously. I sincerely hope this place has undergone big changes with new ownership and faculty because it was a complete trainwreck for the first few years that it was open. “
