Our family is not Mandarin-speaking or of Chinese heritage. We chose the school because we value foreign language learning, particularly a challenging language like Mandarin, during the once in a lifetime language acquisition period in childhood. We also chose the school because of its low student to teacher ratio, retention of highly skilled teaching staff and impressive curriculum design. We toured many schools before deciding on the Shire.
