West Montrose Parochial School
” It’s Christ-centred family. A place our kids spend their whole day learning principles such as daily forgiveness and to love Jesus and each other more and more each day. We also wanted a multi-ethnic environment for our children so they would learn that Jesus is the Lord of all!. We are thankful every day for our Christ-following school! “
” Foundation Christian School is a great school with high-quality academics, a good variety of extra-curricular activities, and a family-like atmosphere. The class sizes at Foundation are relatively small which translates into extra one-on-one attention. Teachers are aware of each student’s strengths and weaknesses and are willing to put in the time and effort to help your child excel. Our youngest started Junior Kindergarten this fall and the 5-day option for kindergarten has been great for our family since both my husband and I work full-time. Also, while we do not use the school’s bus option, I know that many families would not be able to send their kids to Foundation without it. Foundation is part of an association of Christian schools that compete in various athletic tournaments throughout the year. The kids have many opportunities to be active. The music and arts program allow the children to explore their creativity and unique talents. The atmosphere at the school is like one big family. I know that sounds cliché but it is true. Students from all different grades interact with each other at recess and during weekly worship assemblies. As we all know, children are not always well-behaved. I am very impressed with how the teaching staff and administration handles behavioural issues. The headmaster and teachers work together with parents to try and encourage children to behave in a way that reflects God’s love. “
” We enrolled our daughter from public school into grade 5 at Foundation. What a transformative experience for her! The caring teachers and staff, and all of the students made her feel so welcome. Their academics are much stronger than their public school counterparts and there are actually more athletic opportunities too (which surprised me). We have loved our time at Foundation. My only regret is not enrolling her sooner! “
