” hello! i am a former student who is in grade 8, and i left this school in grade 4. im writing this review cause honestly i had a bad experience. teachers were nice but never really helped me when i needed help, i was also getting grd 6 work in grade 4, which out lots of stress on me because we had so much homework , on top of that, when covid hit we went online but u had to pay AN EXTRA 1000+ to do online , AND they only did tuesdays and thursdays any ways please don’t waste your money but the only pro is finding my former best friend “

” My kids use to go here as of January 2024 pulled them out. Pros: teachers are nice Cons: There is no parent committee, you dont know where all the money you pay actually goes, there is no actual gym class, you have to pay for gym but its not like regular school gym, no team sports, lunch menu sucks, bathrooms are not clean, the storage facility across the street and retirement home is an eye sore and a security concern. Their other school Lakeridge is much nicer and seems to get all the money that is paid at WMS. Some teachers are lazy but thats anywhere. I suggest whoever wants to put their kids in private/montessori really do your research, these schools love to sell you on things but you need to peel the layers to truly see what you are getting and if its worth. Also the teachers cant do all the work your kid has to put in the work and as a parent so do you its all a team effort. Best of luck to all. “

” I don’t often write reviews, but I was so shocked by the appalling admissions process at WMS that I felt compelled to warn other parents before they waste their time with this school. To put things into perspective, we currently live abroad and are unable to physically visit the school at this time. We’ve talked to about 4-5 other schools in the Durham / York Region area, all of which offered to set up a virtual call with me to discuss the school and answer any questions. WMS refused. Instead, they wanted me to arrange for a family member (who live 40 mins away) to come to an info session. When I explained we couldn’t make this work, they offered an alternative time for the visit, and once I agreed and made the appropriate arrangements, they changed their minds and said they couldn’t do it. To top off this unprofessionalism, they refused to give me a fee structure until the my family member took the tour of the school. No other school has done this – all have been forthcoming about their fees and super accommodating to give me the info I needed. If admission process is a reflection of how they run their school, I would stay away from WMS.. “

” A fantastic school community! We previously attended LMS and loved both campuses dearly. Educators are experienced, many have been teaching here for years and all of them know your child by name. A warm and friendly school culture and the enrichment programmes (robotics, music, sportball, dance, languages) have been a great addition to our child’s learning. Numeracy and literacy in the classroom have been top notch and staff do a fantastic job with special programming for holidays and special events, performances. Our child has really flourished here for years and as an educator myself I am confident that we made a great choice in WMS. “

” If I could give zero stars I would. They are very unprofessional and biased . I would never recommend the school to anyone. First of all, the location is a horrible location. You would think that with all the tuition they charge they would have their own building for this location. Construction going on seems very unsafe for children. I spoke to a lady When I was trying to get my child enrolled. She kept on setting meeting after meeting and was not honest. They questions she kept asking concerning my child was very upsetting. Making it seem like there is something wrong with my child. Before the end of the meeting, I made up my mind I was no longer interested. The interrogation left a bitter taste in my mouth! I do not recommend. “
